What’s next?

We’ve completed the Wanderer Training Program. So what’s next?

Well it’s a bit of a waiting game now!

We’ve been driving most of the day! Did you know California is about the size of Italy? Yeah, it’s huge! We can only drive 55mph with our trailer so it’s a slow, long drive!

We are headed to a campground north of San Francisco. We will stay here while we wait to take our drivers tests. We all have appointments scheduled for this week. However, it is a bit complicated logistically so we may not all get to keep our scheduled appointments. Adjustments we need to be made, but that’s ok because we can’t all be sent out on the road at the same time!

Once we get our license our road assignments will be staggered. I could be waiting 3-4 weeks for my first assignment. Some of my fellow CEO’s are a little bummed about this. I understand why, but I’m ok with it! I’d be more than happy to use the time to study, study, study! There is so many facts I’d like to learn! Thankfully, G Adventures doesn’t stress destination knowledge as much as other companies. While destination knowledge is important they promote community, commraderie, enthusiasm and happiness!

Basically we will be hanging around the campground until we get our first assigment. There’s talk among my fellow CEOs of going off on mini roadtrips, so that’s always an option!

Our first assignement will be with a shadow coach. Our shadow coach will be the lead CEO, but we will be right by their side learning as much as we can! Our second tour could be with a fellow new CEO and it could be blind! Blind means that we have never been to those places before. Being a new CEO, the odds for a blind trip are pretty high. Confidence will be key to running an awesome tour! We will do great!
